My project of database utilisation

A nurse on the coronavirus frontline says she has quit her job after working for six weeks “without hand gel or face masks”. Laura Demmen, 33, walked out after going weeks without hand gel, a protective face mask or gloves as the COVID-19 pandemic spread across the UK, The Sun reports.

How we could use database in a store in order to facilitate the restocking in the hospitals to avoid this situation

In this specific case, having a database would be very useful. Indeed, by listing the equipment (gel, masks, gloves, etc.) and updating them at each loss, shortages are avoided. So the doctors can work in good conditions.

Here is an example of the database of a hospital store

In the database, the staff enter the type of article and the number left. It decreases everytime a person uses one.

When the staff considers that an item comes up very often in the database, he creates a file with these most famous items which he then sends to Purchasing Department. Then, they will analyze the listing and then buy other items if necessary to avoid the lack of equipment.
